At Intratuin Cruquius, we carried out an extensive renovation project involving a complete approach to both the deck and the facade. Through a combination of material replacement, technical improvements and precise finishing, a durable and visually strong end result was achieved.
The existing polycarbonate in the deck was completely replaced. In the facade, we performed both glass-for-glass exchanges and replaced glass with polycarbonate, tailored to the function and desired incidence of light per facade section.
In addition, all associated strips and rubbers were renewed. This includes replacing the deck strips, ridge rubbers, gutter strips and gable strips. This work not only ensures a sleek appearance, but also a waterproof and technically reliable structure. The air mechanism was also maintained and lubricated with grease so that it once again operates smoothly and without problems.
A wide variety of polycarbonate was used within this project: from 10% translucent opal to normal opal, clear, bronze and even 0% translucent. This diversity makes it possible to create the right balance between daylight, privacy and comfort for each space.
